The birth of my daughter is the single most emotional experience of my life. I can’t begin to describe what we all went through that day, but I know that it was the start of something amazing. I’m a first time dad, and I’m writing this to keep an account of the thoughts, feelings and experiences I face as I muddle my way being a new parent. And whilst I admit that I am under-qualified to write a parenting guide on how to be a dad, I figure that the little I know is as much as the next guy, so maybe others can gain something from what I expect to be a fairly average account of the trials and tribulations of being a new dad.

This our first child. My wife and I are both thirty-something. We live in Oxford, UK.
